Going from short-form copy to long-form copy can take some adjustment. But for the talent who know what they are doing, the world of long-form can pay the bills between commercial, promo and animation sessions. Narrators are in constant demand for everything from recorded museum guides to corporate training videos to reality television and film documentaries. Actors who know how to manage the needs of these longer forms of media have a distinct advantage in reaping the financial rewards of speaking English for a living.
Join Voice Actors & Coaches, Mick Wingert & Christa Lewis for a five-week dive into the world of long-form narration. They will share with participants the insights and techniques gained from years in the booth working the jobs that require the long haul.
Learn Like a Pro: Long-Form is designed to be a comprehensive course to help develop long-form narration skills in multiple genres for the working voice actor and for the advanced student of voice acting. Along with booth time for each participant to work narration skills in various media formats, The five-week class goes in depth on the following:

- Week 2 - Long-Form Narration for Corporate and Industrial video.
- Week 3 - Long-form Narration for Museum Guides and Educational Exhibits.
- Week 4 - Performing for E-Learning Modules and Explainer Videos
- Week 5 - The Long-Form Narrator's Technology Toolbox - tips, tricks, and equipment set up.
Refreshments and materials for the class will be provided.

Your Instructors:
Christa LewisChrista Lewis (SAG-AFTRA) is a classically trained actress and graduate of Boston University’s 4-year conservatory actor training program. There, she had a 4 year Linklaeter voice and speech training. She's worked full time at the microphone since 1995, getting her start as a full-time news and features reader for the international news broadcaster DW-TV. In 1999, she became their station voice as well. She's been a regular on hundreds of cartoons, museum guides, documentaries and commercials. She's earned five Earphones Awards for excellence in audio book narration. Christa has trained with the best-of-the-best teachers, coaches and mentors and has a keen grasp on current styles and trends for the national marketplace in voice over. She is currently represented by TAG Talent.

Mick WingertYou may know him as Po, The Panda on the Emmy® award-winning Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, but that is just the tip of the iceberg for Mick Wingert. along with his animation and commercial credits, he has narrated independent documetaries, and web-based instructionals for various clients, and reality television for the Travel Channel. You can also hear him in animation and videogames such as, Titan Fall 2 [Respawn, EA], Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan [Activision], Marvel Superheroes Frost Fight [Marvel], Lego Marvel Avengers Reassembled, [Marvel], Batman: Assault on Arkham [WB home video], Sofia the First [Disney], Breadwinners [Nickelodeon], Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy [DisenyToon], T.U.F.F. Puppy [Nickelodeon], The Princess and the Frog [Disney], Batman: Year one [Warner Brothers] ,The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes [Marvel], Bones [Fox], Jonah Hex: Two Gun Mojo [Warner Brothers], and more.
